Returns Policy

Because shapewear is and underwear garment, we have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request and fully process a return through Happy Returns. If 14 days have gone by since your confirmed delivery, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.

Please be aware that creating the shipping label through Happy Returns not only does not guarantee a refund until the garment is delivered but also comes with a 14-day expiration period. It is essential to ensure that the item is shipped within this timeframe to be eligible for any potential refunds.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, unwashed with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

We ask that you wear underwear when trying on your garment for the first time.

To start a return, you must do it in the returns portal.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear or do not meet the above criteria.

Please note that returns for refund will be subject to a $15.00 return shipping fee, which be deducted from your refund.

Incorrect item returns
For incorrect item returns, a mandatory photo requirement is now in place. Please send clear photos of the wrong item received, including the inner label. Refunds will be subject to approval.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchange Policy
Unfortunately, exchanges are no longer available since all items are shipped from Colombia
If the item you received don't fit, you must return the item and place a new order

Shipping

We offer free economic shipping for orders over $150

Currently, our shipments are coming from Colombia, so it takes approximately 10-15 business days for delivery.
We are working diligently to reduce the shipping time.

Customs Duties & Import Taxes (United States)

Since August 29, 2025, U.S. Customs has been applying import duties and/or taxes more frequently to incoming shipments, including our parcels sent from Colombia.

Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees are not charged by Colombian Tropics or by our courier (DHL). These charges are assessed and collected solely by U.S. Customs and other government authorities when your order enters the country.

  • Customs duties and taxes are not included in our product prices or shipping fees.
  • DHL, or the local carrier, may contact you to collect these charges before delivery.
  • The customer is fully responsible for paying any customs duties, import taxes, and related fees required for the release of the package.

Unpaid Duties & Abandoned Packages

If customs duties or import taxes are not paid, DHL and/or U.S. Customs may:

  • Return the package to us, or
  • Classify the shipment as abandoned and dispose of it.

We always do our best to notify you when we receive a “payment required” or “customs hold” notice from DHL or Customs, using the contact information you provided at checkout. However:

  • If, despite our attempts to contact you, the duties remain unpaid and the shipment is returned to Colombia, we will:
    • Refund the item(s) only, minus:
      • The original shipping cost, and
      • Any return, storage or handling fees charged to us by DHL or Customs.
  • If the package is declared abandoned, destroyed or not returned to us due to unpaid duties or lack of response, we are unable to issue any refund, and the order will be considered final sale.

Colombian Tropics is not responsible for packages that are abandoned, destroyed, or returned due to the customer’s failure to pay customs duties and/or respond to DHL or Customs notifications.
